About
David Puckett is a creative director, filmmaker, producer, editor, and writer with a passion for visual storytelling. He has directed commercials for corporate clients including IBM, Lenovo, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and United Therapeutics through work at production agencies Horizon Productions and Centerline Digital. Currently, he leads a small team of filmmakers and animators at RTI International, producing content for government organizations such as CDC, NIH, and FDA.
David earned a BS in Media Studies from East Carolina University and continued his education at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. His student film Clyde’s Place—a portrait of a lively bluegrass barn and its eccentric owner—was featured in The Atlantic Selects and won best historical documentary at the 2016 Longleaf Film Festival.
Outside of work, David is a music enthusiast who plays piano and guitar, and he enjoys experimenting with photography. He lives in Durham, North Carolina, with his lovely wife, Leslie, and their adorable cat, Louise.
