About
David Puckett is a director, producer, editor, and copywriter. He has directed commercials for IBM, Lenovo, Lowe’s Home Improvement, United Therapeutics, PPD, CEI, Toshiba, and Duke University while working for agencies Horizon Productions and Centerline Digital.
He earned a BS in Media Studies at East Carolina University. David later studied at the Center for Documentary Studies at Duke University. His student film Clyde’s Place was featured in The Atlantic Selects—a showcase of cinematic short documentary films curated by The Atlantic—and won best historical documentary at the 2016 Longleaf Film Festival. The film explores the eccentric proprietor and passionate patrons of a vibrant bluegrass barn in rural North Carolina.
David is a music enthusiast who plays piano and guitar. He also dabbles in photography. He lives in Durham, North Carolina with his lovely wife, Leslie, and adorable cat, Louise.
